Reflet
Version 2.6 |
Introduction
Reflet allows to generate an animation simulating ripple
effects and reflection of an image in the
water, in a very quick and simple way.
It is very useful to animate logos, to decorate Web pages or it can just be
fun.
Of course it can be used for images
of stretches of water but you can also use it for monuments,
portraits and text animations.
Insert the animation into a HTML page
The 256 colour format GIF gives nice results but the volume of the obtained file is
rather important.
To get round this problem try to export in 16, 32 or 64 colour mode
with the option [Reflection only].
The animation won’ t be so nice but much less heavy !
Then, in your HTML page , you will only have to insert the animation right below your
original image
(see the test page generated by the software).
If you meet problems with blinking colours in the animation, it means that the
number of colors is too low.
Try to export with a higher number of colours.
Parameter [Images]
It corresponds to the number of images that make up your animation.
A high number will give a fluid animation but
the obtained file will be big.
If you modify this parameter, do not forget to also modify the speed of animation:
• Value lower than 5: slow speed
• Value between 5 and 7: average speed
• Value higher than 7: fast speed
The values included between 4 and 10 are acceptable for Web use.
Parameter [Height (%)]
It corresponds to the size of the reflection in proportion to the size of the original image.
Advice
If your original image has a plain background (logo for example), you can increase
this parameter to 100%.
For photos and landscapes use a 90% value.
Remarks
If you keep the [Shift] key down , the value increments to one unit instead
of five.
Parameter [Perspective / Regular]
It defines the movement of the waves of the animation.
Perspective
It is the type of undulation by default. The farther you go away from the center,
the longer the wave will be.
Régular
The size of waves is fixed and can be modified in the menu [Options / Type of
waves].
Parameter [Occurrences]
It is available to export only in the AVI format and represents the number of
repetitions of the animation to
be inserted into the AVI file.
